Anyone who looks at pornography knows what this article is talking about. There are physiological, mental and spiritual changes that proceed the act. The conscience pleads, the mind debates, the endorphins start to flow. But once control has been conceded to lust we seem to enter a tunnel that is focused completely on satisfying our lust.
As the article points out parts of the brain are shut down. But it's more than that. We create a willful separation between God and ourselves. What an awful state for a believer to be in, to rebel against the one who loves him and gave himself for him.
