Porn messes up your mind. There is no way to be filling your mind with a constant flow of abusive sexual imagery without it effecting the way you think about and look at the opposite sex. One of the ways your mind is messed up is how you view the opposite sex.
To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. - Titus 1:15
Pornography leads to a lot of defiled thinking, for example:
- Women who are wearing revealing or tight clothing are trying to seduce you.
- Women like to be dominated and treated roughly.
- Women are causing you to lust by their actions and clothing - they are the problem.
- All women are manipulative and like to tease you.
- Women are evil for doing the things you see online.
Eventually your thoughts about women and interactions with them slip into a world of fantasy and frustration. Real women become porn stars in your mind and when they don't act like one you get confused and frustrated. This thinking can lead to anger, aggression, and even abuse.
If you find yourself falling into these types of thought patterns as a young man then there is a very real danger that you will completely move into behaviors that will destroy your life. It is impossible to have your thoughts in a fantasy world and have healthy relationships.
