Lust is a Monster

The monster does not control you. It can only do what you allow it.  Notice:
1) You create his home.  Your thoughts and actions create an environment in your heart for this monster.  It can be large and comfortable or tiny and cold.
2) You feed the monster.  The monster shrinks and grows based on its diet.  The more images and sensuality you allow the bigger and stronger he gets.  He is never satisfied and will ultimately seek to devour you.
3) You control the monster.  The monster wants you to believe he controls you, but in reality he can never make you do anything.
4) You can’t reason with the monster.  The monster doesn’t respond to logic or pleading, no amount of reassurance or proclamation will make him disappear, if you ignore him he will not go away.  The monster only responds to force and power (spiritual power).
5) You must oppose the monster.  You must dislodge him from his den, starve him of his sustenance.  He will not go quietly. He will attack, he will roar and fight, he will make it painful to oppose.
Do not lose heart, if you begin the battle God is faithful to see you through.
