The Duggar warning

The whole Josh Duggar debacle should make it abundantly clear that sin can never be hidden forever.  When sin isn't properly dealt with it will continue to grow and ensnare and destroy until it is exposed. 

 

The most powerful part of this story is the public suffering and betrayal that Anna Duggar is facing.  That pain is entirely on Josh.  

"Not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal against those that call themselves Christian because here we were as a Christian couple," she continued. "Everyone was able to see us get married and to vow before God to be loyal to each other, and that loyalty was broken. And so, for my heart, it was just broken."

This story should be a warning to every man who thinks that he can handle his addiction.  As the stakes grow, so does the need to confess, repent and seek help.  It's not a matter of if you will get caught, it's a matter of when, the only difference is how much damage you inflict on your loved ones.
