"And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever." - Isaiah 32:17
The theme of this blog is: I can't live this way, God will not allow it, I will do whatever it takes to overcome sin.
The second part - God won't allow it, is vital to understand. If we try to live with our sin we will not have peace. Period. God will not allow us to harbor sin in our lives and feel his presence and have communion with Him at the same time.

Isaiah 32:17 points out the direct connection between peace and righteousness. Notice what it says: the WORK of righteousness will be peace. The phrase used is ma'aseh in Hebrew which means work, labor, pursuit, undertaking. Peace in the life of a believer comes from righteousness working within us, but when we use our bodies for unrighteousness we lose that peace, and quietness and confidence. Note Romans 6:13;
"and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God." - Romans 6:13and;
"Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship." - Romans 12:1It is our spiritual service to God to cleanse ourselves from sin.
